Chopping trees...meeting Santa...

Many of you have read my blog about when we started sleep training the twins.  The program advised to not go on any kind of vacation or day trips until the babies were very comfortable with their naps during the day.  Please note - I did that blog on October 19th.  I have not taken the twins anywhere since then, except to the pediatrician.  I'm proud to say, they're sleeping through the night and taking 3 solid naps each day.  We decided today was the day to take the twins out and about.

Our day started out like normal....but had to have a quick photo shoot with their cute holiday garb.

We then headed north to Crystal Springs Tree Farm in Lehighton.  We've been going to this tree farm for the last 5 years and always have a good time.  Usually we spend about 2 hours walking around and around the fields looking for the perfect tree.  Mike and my conversation usually goes as follows.  I say, "This one looks good.  How about this one?"  Mike will answer, "It's too thin on top...the bottom looks weird...it's not tall enough..it's not fat enough..." blah blah blah

This year we had to get a move on because we had to be back home by 2:30 for the babies to eat again.  This helped the process move along quite nicely.  We were able to tromp around the field, get the trees cut down (thanks Jay for trying..chainsaws work much better than that dull hacksaw), trees wrapped and on the Explorer and back to Allentown all in time to feed the babies again.

Thank you to Aunt Biz for the totally cute and warm snowsuits!

Mike thinks we look like a cool family in this picture.

We found our tree!!  Can you sense Cameron's excitement???

Resting up for our next adventure!!!!

After a quick 2 hour nap for the babies, we then got them up and dressed up for their visit with the big guy in red.

Then home for a few more shots...

Last photo from our day full of fun memories....done!
