Well...I survived. Today was my first day back to work. Deb, our wonderful baby-sitter, arrived a little after 6:00 and the babies were very excited to see her. This was a relief because they've been going through a little bit of "I'm afraid of strangers for about 10 minutes so I will choose to cry until I can get used to you" mood. But with Deb, they are fine. It could be that Deb is super enthusiastic and really enjoys being around the babies.
We did hit a little rough spot this morning. I am now driving Mike's car to school as it gets much better gas mileage than our new Ford Explorer. I was just about to pass 512 and my cell phone rings. Mike had left his school keys in the car. I quickly exited on 512, met Mike at the Westgate Mall, then realized I had left my entire school bag back at the house. Back to 1920 I go, grab my bag, say bye to the babies once more, and back on the road to Nazareth.
All in all, it was okay going back to work. I was very excited to get home and see the babies and I think they were excited to see me. I've started a new rule of no computer or television while I'm home with them as our time goes by so quickly. As you can see, I've found time to blog while the pears are steaming on the stove for their breakfast tomorrow.
