Vampire Child...Post July 4th...Yuccas...We love our blankies!

Dinnertime has become quite interesting the last few days.  Mike and I were so proud that our babies were eating so well...asparagus, avocado, pickles..lots of green stuff!  They were also eating watermelon like it was their job.  And then, all of a sudden, they've decided they are not the great eaters we thought they were.  There are lots of games to be played during dinnertime...trying to fake Mommy and Daddy out by putting food into their mouths, pretending to eat it, and then throwing it on the floor...hiding their food in their highchairs...lots of funny faces...

shenanigans between the two of them...

and then the attack of the vampire child!

Oh, the fun of it all!!

We had a nice evening at Uncle Matty's for July 4th.  We didn't quite make it to the fireworks, even though Uncle Frankie gave it a gallant effort...Allie said, "It is time to go home!"

Daddy was quite proud that both babes found the beer cooler quite quickly.

We had playtime in Uncle Matty's bathtub....

And also re-enacted our first every July 4th picture (as featured on the last blog!)

Our yuccas are doing so well this year!  My mom always loved her yuccas.  I'll never forget the first year we had to cut the stalk down after all the flowers had died.  She went out with a big, but very dull, steak knife.  She was out there hacking away for about 15 minutes before I went out with some hedge trimmers.  I'm taking the fact that our yuccas are so pretty this year as a sign of my momma saying hello!

On a different note, both babies are really starting to love their blankies.  I think we have a Linus on our hands!

And Allie likes to bite hers...I hope Joan, my mom's good friend who crocheted the blankets for them, can make us a new one after Allie destroys hers!

So all in all, summer is going well.  It's really neat to be home with them everyday and see how they are changing.

On the move!
Peace out!
