See You in 10 Years!

This past summer I remembered that I had made a time capsule when I was a kid.  I'm certain I buried it in the corner of my parent's backyard.  We took Cam's metal detector up and tried to locate it but with no success.  That got me thinking it would be fun for the twins to make a capsule.  In August I stumbled upon one at a consignment store.  We had fun over the past few weeks putting things together to bury in our yard.  And no worries -- since I'm doing a blog about it we'll remember where it is when we dig it up 10 years from now!

We also put a few pieces of their beloved blankies into this little container.

We also have this map to remind us where it is!

Ready to go into the ground!

Rhys -- our lookout cat making sure we stay safe at all times!

See you 10 years from now!

No, we did not have to call the fire company.

Love this!

Speaking of cats...Panther earns the Most Improved Award!

Little calmer in this picture...

Miles and Panther became instant friends when Panther came to live with us...here they are hold paws.  :)

A few odds and ends!

Mike and the kiddos came to my school this past week to help with a PMEA Chorus Festival I hosted....

Both Mike and Allie had a night out with friends -- so Cam and I had a night together!  No worries -- Cam ended up winning in the end!

Both kiddos are going to be starting up basketball in a few weeks.  I think Allie is excited.

Love all of my artwork from Allie -- but especially this one.  We still think of Grandma Stanton whenever we see ladybugs!

I've started to go on walks with our neighbor -- we saw this beautiful moon last week!
We worked on filling up our shoeboxes this weekend for Operation Christmas Child.  Such a cool thing for them to do!

All done!  Trying to raise good kiddos who learn empathy and kindness to others.
