Walt Disney World, 2021

We visited the most magical place on Earth for the second time with the Rocc Flock and it truly was magical.  Even with COVID still looming over us, we really enjoyed our time together!

I loved going back to THIS blog when we took the 6 year old twinjas to Disney.  That trip was so wonderful with the kids being younger.  However, this trip was just as wonderful -- just very different!  Biggest win was NO STROLLER this time!

My first picture shows Michael and me on day 4 of the magic....exhausted, dehydrated, sore...but loving every minute with the twins!

Let's back it up a bit.....

Gammy took Allie shopping and got her this super cute Disney outfit.  Allie was EXCITED to take her Mickey's back to Walt Disney World!

Thank you to our neighbor, Aaron, for once again driving us to the airport!

The twins were really good about their homework.  We tried to get as much done before we left as possible!

Time to fly!

We again used our neighbor and friend, Nikki, as our Disney travel agent.  She recommended a great guy to transport us from the airport to our hotel.  We were riding in style!

WE MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed at the Caribbean this time -- specifically in Jamaica!

Cam instantly turned into a gecko hunter!  Definitely frustrated on day one when he was not successful in catching those fast little guys!

We struck out to explore our home for the next 5 days.  So beautiful!

Cam at least captured this picture of the elusive gecko!

The pool was awesome!

The Skyliner was a favorite mode of transportation during our time there!

Quick game of Chess before dinner!

After dinner, we decided to take our maiden voyage on the Skyliner.  We were a little excited!

I was slightly nervous....these things move pretty quickly!

Epcot was beautiful!

We hopped off the Skyliner at the Boardwalk resort.

Let the eating begin!

We headed back to our room to prepare for our first day in Magic Kingdom!

This is probably my favorite picture from Disney in 2018.

This might be my favorite from 2021!

 Here we go!

We were excited to be in Disney for the beginning of their 50th anniversary celebration.  Walt Disney World opened up on October 1, 1971.

Allie loves Mickey!

Space Mountain was not running 3 years ago so this was our first goal in the Magic Kingdom.  Mike and I both remember riding this as kids....I did not remember how scary it was!

We were on the hunt for Hidden Mickey's again - here was our first one!

Allie is not a huge roller coaster fan.  I don't think I would have had her try Space Mountain if I remembered how intense it was.  The worse part was Allie was riding behind me so I wasn't able to grab her or check on her.  During the ride, Cam turned around once and asked if Allie was ok.  She WAS ok...just said, "NEVER AGAIN" when we got off!

Onward to the Tea Cups!  I hate these things!

Cam and Daddy did the Teacups so Cam could really spin it!

Then the twins did it solo!

Dumbo!

Seven Dwarfs!

Masks only had to be worn while inside.  Kids were really great about this...is this Cameron or a mannequin?

It's a Small World!

Prince Charming Carrousel

Chip and Dale!

Thunder Mountain!  Allie decided this one was her favorite!

Winnie the Pooh!

Tigger!

"No worries" while in WDW!

We opted to head back to the resort in the afternoon.  A certain young man who shall remain nameless was definitely grumpy.  When the pool got shut down due to a storm, I made both kiddos take a nap.  Yes, Allie is napping in her bathing suit!

We eventually headed back to the pool to round out day 1!

 Day 2 -- Hollywood Studios!

We woke up early each day in order to get to the park before it opened!

It was worth it because we got to see the streets nearly empty!

First destination - Toy Story Land!!  Almost time to open it up!

The twins brought their pins back on this trip.  While we were waiting for the park to open, the twins bought a few new pins.  I love this once Cam bought!

Time to GO!

 SLINKY DOG, HERE WE COME!

Do you see the Hidden Mickey?

We love DISNEY!

Alien Swirling Saucers

Shakin' Jamaican with a shot of espresso was a daily purchase!

Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway

Frozen Sing-Along is one of my favorites....I was told I was not allowed to sing...I did quietly beneath my mask.  :)

After 2.5 days of no success, Cam finally caught his first gecko!!

Due to COVID, cast members weren't allowed to trade pins.  The trading boards were almost as fun!

Loved this!

Quick Skyliner ride home for some pool time...

Then back for a character dinner!

We had several family meetings discussing the Tower of Terror.  After Space Mountain, Allie was a little nervous to trust her parents that it wasn't "that bad".  Ultimately, we decided to give it a try!

Don't they look excited??

WE DID IT!!!  Allie once again said, "Never again" when we got off of this one.  Each kid was promised some kind of purchase Disney item as a reward for being so brave.

Yup...exhausted but we kept moving!  We hadn't even gotten to Star Wars yet!

DONE!

We filled out a few postcards before bed....

 Day 3 - Epcot!

 First up - Frozen!

We were excited to meet up with Coopersburg friends, the Naitos!  We did a few rides with them....

The Three Caballeros

We had been seeing people play this game while in line -- super fun with the Naitos so we had to download it!

Frozen again -- so fun hearing the kiddos laugh and scream!

It was then time to make the "You rode the Tower of Terror and we are so proud of you" purchase.  Both kids decided they wanted new lanyards for their pin collections.

Time to go in the big ball thing.

I was so excited to be able to meet up with a past student of mine who now works at Epcot.  She introduced us to Canada!  It was lovely spending a few hours with Mikaela!

Another Hidden Mickey!

We had successfully gotten into the queue for the newest ride at Epcot, Ratatouille.  We waited pretty much all day to go on this ride....and then it broke.  No worries!  We came back later that evening and were allowed to get right on!

It was worth the wait!

We met up with more friends who were also visiting Disney - so fun!

This show was A M A Z I N G!

 Day 4....back to Magic Kingdom!

We decided to hit the Seven Dwarfs first!

Love this Hidden Mickey - do you see it?

Peter Pan's Flight was so neat!

The Cavalcade Parades were pretty fun!

 Haunted Mansion!

Not nearly as scary as when they were 6!

We checked out Tom Sawyer's Island - very fun!

More success in the gecko hunting area!

Another one!

Splash Mountain!

I had said the day before, "I wonder why we haven't seen any ladybugs!"  We were in Starbucks getting a pick-me-up and we heard a parade going by outside.  Cam ran out to see what it was and found a ladybug on the INSIDE of the door as he was heading outside.  He called me over -- then the ladybug decided to jump on him before flying away.  Thanks, Grandma Stanton.

Back to the resort for a final swim!

I hope these two always stay friends.

Little bit of Ping Pong!

Perhaps another sign from my mom?  Disney rainbows are the best!

His final catch!

Back to Magic Kingdom for our final adventure...

 Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse!

Aladdin's Carpet Ride!

 Time for the fireworks!

This was so beautiful.  I didn't take many pictures because I was enjoying it so much.  Well done, Disney...well done!  Until next time!
