Merry Christmas! December was a very busy and fun month for the Rocc Flock. We are all trying to get our lives back to normal but COVID-19 continues to make this difficult. We are in the midst of yet another wave of infections. Luckily we were able to do most of the fun things we do during this festive time!
We kicked off the season with the Coopersburg Tree Lighting. So glad this event is back as it was canceled last year due to the pandemic.
We bought Elsa some hot cocoa because she was freezing!
I left off in my last post, "Turkey Lurkey Doo" with the chopping down of this beast. Yes, it fit in the house but barely! Michael had it standing all of 5 minutes before it came crashing to the floor. Happy to report that it has stayed upright for the past 29 days. Although I'm ready for it to go, it has been a beautiful tree!
The twins again had their tree in the Arts and Crafts room. Each year, they are able to decorate it more on their own.
You can see Grandma Carr's milk crate of ornaments!
Still using a combination of their ornaments along with their Great-Grandmother Carr's and their Great-Great Grandmother Fiske's ornaments!
You'll get to see a lot of Christmas kitties as we go through this post!
We got Mom's Christmas tree topper to fit!
Snack break!
The tree is done!!!
Snapped this picture of the twins' fort -- all decorated as well!
Few more shots of our decorations...
The next three were my mother's....
Oh, Rhys.....I'm sure she's licking her chops after eating something she stole off of the counter.
Simon
This is Rhys' favorite spot when she's feeling overwhelmed! :)
The twins wrote their letters to Santa...
In leu of a traditional advent calendar, we decided to participate in the Reverse Advent calendar our church sent home. Each evening in December, the children donated a food item to a local food bank. I thought this was a great activity!
We also enjoyed making Graham Cracker nativity scenes at church!
A new tradition for us...we saw "A Christmas Carol" at DeSales. It was fantastic!
Panther
Allie's Girl Scout troop again made a video to send out to local nursing homes of the girls singing Christmas Carols. I really enjoy helping out with this project!
The twins collaborated to create our Christmas card this year!
We baked cookies with Gammy again..
Had a blast at the annual Christmas Party..
Went on a hot cocoa adventure to see the new light display at Dorney Park -- great idea, Daddy!
A big part of the children's Christmas present was having their bedrooms redone. Allie HATED her pink bedroom and both twins just wanted to update their rooms. This was a huge undertaking but we're very happy with how it all turned out!
More pictures later in the post!
Christmas Eve!!! We had a LITTLE BIT OF SNOW (you can see it in the background)!
Allie and I tried out a new game that Tissy got us! So fun!
We enjoyed a socially distanced/masked church service.
Did a quick photoshoot in our muddy backyard....
And prepared for the arrival of Bah-Bah and our Christmas Eve activities!
The kids always exchange their presents on Christmas Eve.
My dad enjoyed showing off his new phone!
We showed Bah-Bah the new and improved rooms!
Cam also asked for a fish tank for Christmas!
Little Emma was excited for Christmas!
Kids had to exit the house because Michael was preparing for their Christmas Eve Scavenger Hunt!
He again hid ornaments all over the house that had clues to guide the twins to their next ornament.
Melissa and Buddy were again our special visitors for all of December. They also made friends with Creepy Eyes I mean BILLY (long story).
Michael kind of likes Christmas....
The final clue led the twins to their Christmas Even boxes. Ornaments and new sneakers awaited them!
We did a bit of singing and playing Christmas songs in the basement.
And then it was almost time for dinner!
Love seeing Grandma Carr's snowmen each December.
Bah-Bah brought us a surf and turf dinner!
It was then time for our annual Christmas Tree shot....first a walk down memory lane...

It was then getting close to bedtime so the twins got things ready for Santa and Rudolph!
Daddy read Elf and Allie read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
Christmas morning!!!
Rhys was uncertain on what she wanted to do...she dislikes Emma but loves wrapping paper...here is where she hung out!
Santa brought the twins tablets!
Mommy may have done a lot of shopping while at Penn State earlier in the month!
We got Daddy a Cat Nutcracker!
Allie created this great picture for Michael!

Little Emma liked her presents!

We spent Christmas morning checking out our new gifts.
