First off -- you better get comfortable because 275 pictures were taken yesterday of our trip to Knoebels!! Big thank you to our hired photographer for the day, Mike Dore!! He was paid in puffs and Kix and lots of giggles from the babes. Happy reading!
Yesterday we made our maiden voyage to Knoebels in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Matt, Mikey, Biz, Chuck and Rosie Boyer, and Mark and Julie Wehr were also there as Matt has an RV he had taken up Friday evening. The Rocc Flock arrived Saturday morning for what was sure to be a fun day. Ok, let's be honest here. Mike and I are still very anxious about taking the babies out and about and also very anxious of getting them off of their schedules. I know we need to relax a bit, but having not one, but two angry/hungry/tired babies on your hands is not a fun experience!!! So we were just waiting to see what our day would bring.
The trip started out pretty well in that both babies slept pretty much the whole 2 hour trip to the campground. Allie woke with only about 15 minutes left and she was consoled with a Mum-Mum. As soon as we pulled into the campground the babies began experiencing the camping life. First up, the hammock!
And next, the picnic table!!

| Allie finishing up the rest of her Mum Mum. |
Then, off to Knoebels!
The first thing we did was the carousel, of course!
| Mike and I may look happy but we are scared beyond belief right now. Wondering how the babies will react to their first carousel ride. Will they be scared, get motion sickness? We were slightly freaking out at this moment. |
| Started out ok -- Allie liked her horse! |
| Cameron also approved of his! |
| Uncle Matty, of course, was in his glory. |
| "Don't you people remember I get a little nervous about new things??? Don't you remember reading the blog about our trip to Hershey Park? Do you really think putting me on something that spins and makes loud noises is a good idea??" |
| Not the best picture but please notice Michael's face. I believe this is the moment when the carousel hit full speed. |
| Uncle Matty showing us how to grab the brass rings!! |
The babies actually really enjoyed the carousel (Cam more so than Allie) and we were off to our next ride!
| Allie says, "You two need to calm down. That was super fun!" |
| Quick visit to the North Pole. |
| If only waiting in line could be this much fun for everyone! |
Next stop, the antique cars! I must give another shout out to Mikey D for all of his pictures. He literally ran ahead of our car so he could get some good action shots. Thanks, Mikey!
| I am reacting to the car bucking forward as Mike gets use to the accelerator. |
| Allie says, "Push that pedal down!" |
| Mikey's picture because he came running around the corner! |
| Super fun! |
| Someone needs to tell Knoebels that pushing strollers through the gravel is not fun!! |
| Cam being such a nice little boy... |
| Then his true colors come out! |
| "Knoebels is so much fun!!!" |
And let me just pause here and say that during the little time we sat at this table to eat our lunch, I made three visits to the diaper changing area. The joy of having twins!
| Matt's dad taking a turn at pushing the little one! |
| "Phew! This having fun stuff sure is tiring!" |
| We're not sure if Aunt Biz is taking a nap or if the Percocet was taking effect! Biz was a real trooper as she just got her Gall Bladder out on Wednesday and was still able to join the camping and Knoebels trip! |
| The little ones slept..... |
| ...as the big ones played Fascination!! |
| And finally...the train! |
| More of Mikey's super stealth photographing! | | | |
| And then back to the RV for some dinner and relaxing!! |
| I told Cam not to get crumbs on Bizzy's bed!! Sorry, Biz, if you woke up with cheesy poofs all over the place! |
| I could get used to this! |
| Check it out! |
| Mikey getting out from behind the camera for a little bit. |
| The Rocc Flock loves camping! |
| I love this picture...Matt's face says it all! |
| Momma Rosie telling the babies how good they were all day. |
| All in all, it was a pretty fantastic day. The babies were so good and had so much fun experiencing all the new things. |
Thanks for reading this super long blog! Until next time!
