I've always wanted a house full of music. Mike's love of music helps this out as he always DJ's our daily lives with whatever music he's currently into. My random singing of musical theater helps fill the house as well. I've always wanted a Christmas with people standing around the piano singing Christmas Carols together. We got PRETTY close to this happening this year - more on that later.
The name of this post, "A Stampeded of Music" is a quote from Cameron. Gammy gave each twin a CD player for them to use in their bedrooms. The other day both kiddos had a Christmas CD BLARING from each of their CD players....this led to Cameron saying, "It sounds like a stampede of music!" I LOVE having a house that sounds like a stampeded of music.
First up, our traditional picture in front of the tree.

Loved our Christmas card this year. Cam's artwork was featured!
We again went to church on Christmas Eve.
But this year, the twins were PART of the service!
We took up an entire pew!
Love my boy Cherub.
They were SUPER excited to sing!
Love my girl Cherub!
Singing!!
Great enunciation, Cam!
Don't you love Cam's face? We wanted TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bah-Bah Claus made another appearance!
And gave the twins super warm Carhartt jackets! Which is good because we are currently in the midst of cold, cold days!
Annual Christmas Even boxes....
Wonder Woman ornament for Allie.
Lego Candy Cane for Cameron
We went out to sprinkle reindeer food. And YES, there was SOME snow on Christmas Eve.
"Mommy, it's snowing!"
Cookies and carrots were prepared....
Tired parents!!!!
We made sure to say good-bye to Buddy and Melissa (pictured in the background!) They will be back Thanksgiving!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
When we put the twins to bed Christmas Eve, we told Allie to make sure to wake up Cameron when she woke up in the morning. She is ALWAYS the early riser. Mike and I began to hear some noises right around 6:00 AM. Allie said she went into Cam's room and had to say his name THREE times before he woke up!!
Here is our annual video of walking out to the living room.
Santa came!!
She got her Rocky replacement! He got lost in the lake at the Poconos -- thank goodness Santa read the letter she sent!
Cam had decided to save this big one for last....
"How did Santa know??!??!" Cameron had seen this Star Wars toy at Target about a month and half ago. He REALLY wanted it. However, Mommy was not willing to pay $80 for it. Cam then decided to start saving his allowance in order to buy it. Lucky for him, Santa saw it at Target at a MAJOR discount and picked one up for him! What a great guy!
The twins made a tractor stone for Bah-Bah.
We also surprised Bah-Bah with a trip to New York City to see The Lion King on Broadway. Getting him to figure out the surprise was a bit painful!!!
He filled our stockings too!
The aftermath....
Mommy got the twins a Latch Hook kit...I LOVED these as a kid!
"What in the world is this crazy thing I'm unwrapping??"
A DRUM STICK FOR OUR NEW DRUM SET!
Daddy is pretty good at drumming!
We then headed to Auntie E's during Christmas day. More pictures on this later!!!
Then our busy week continued....
We tired parents had a night way to see our favorite musician, Stephen Kellogg.
We hosted a fantastic Friendsmas!
"I WANT TO EAT THIS WHOLE THING!"
The boys had lots of fun playing darts..Mike found it only fair to hold Cameron during his turn as Scott was trying to soothe his child during his shot! We are all about fairness in this house!
Merry Friendsmas!
This video shows what I was referring to in the intro...lots of MUSIC and LAUGHS around the piano during our party!!
We had lots of fun checking out our new toys!
We made a quick trip up to Wyalusing....stopped into see Mrs. Dibble.
Cam LOVES this room! So much neat stuff!
We checked out the Festival of Lights in Tunkhannock. Very neat!
Shorty really liked the lights!
Under the sea!
We woke up to SNOW!
Bah-Bah wanted to show us an old logging road he discovered. He and Cam were up front while Mike, Allie, and I followed behind!
Beautiful!
We stopped at Grandpa Carr's pond to see if it as frozen over...it was!
We also had a nice visit with Great-Grandpa Carr. I had done an interview with him several weeks ago. I wanted to put the link here so the twins will have it to listen to in the future!
