Years ago, my mother decided she wanted a shirt that said "LONG LIVE SUMMER". Her idea was that she would wear it on the last day of school before summer vacation. When that woman got an idea in her head, she wanted it and wanted it quick! We walked all over the Lycoming Mall in hopes of finding a shirt that had these three exact words but to no avail. Finally, she decided to have a shirt embroidered with her favorite saying -- and she got one for me too which I still have. My mom LOVED summertime and so does the Rocc Flock!
We went up to Wyalusing for one last adventure there before the school year starts. Bah-Bah has been feeling pretty blue since losing Shorty so we especially wanted to get up there to spend time with him.
| Gator ridin' with Bah-Bah is always the best! |
| Cam is still absolutely in LOVE with Bah-Bah's neighbor's chickens. This one is named "Baby". |
| "Hello!" |
| We also had the chance to check out their barn and help feed the calves! |
I took the kids up to the Wyalusing Rocks to look around. You can tell from the pictures that we have had absolutely AWFUL weather. I was looking for things to keep us busy!
| Definitely terrified in this picture -- Cameron kept telling me to calm down. I kept a hold of him! |
| The river was SO muddy from all of the rain! |
| I felt a bit better about this death defying act! |
| We headed up the road to the Marie Antoinette Lookout. |
Along came the annual Wyalusing Carnival and parade. It definitely didn't have the same excitement as other years....not having that little dog on the wagon with us was very sad....but then 2 flat tires (one before the parade and one during the parade!!!) along with literally having it rain on our parade, it just wasn't one of our better years. However, my dad was happy to have this Ford tractor to pull us along with.
| Fueling up before the parade! |
| Candy Land with all the cousins! |

Found a few pictures of other parades Bah-Bah has been in....
| This was right before it started to rain..... |
| And then after the rain! |
| The boys enjoyed trying to get candy on top of the buildings as we drove by.... |
| Life is good....even when you're soaked! |
| But then this awesome rainbow came out! |
| The kiddos still had fun! |
| "The best part is getting to drive the tractor home when the parade is over!" |
We did get some sunshine and were able to enjoy Grandma Stanton's pool.
| A bathing beauty...with lots of fun poison on her legs from climbing trees! |
At one point Allie saw a feather come off of a bird and fall into the pool at just the exact time Cam found a ladybug. Hello, Mom.
| Cam has pretty much figured out how to swim....he was doing an awesome job in the deep end! |
| Allie is getting there!!! She was working on jumping off the edge. |
| Success! |
| My Little Mermaid moment |
| The many faces of Allie..... |
The twins absolutely love their Stanton cousins!
| Go Silas! |
| Gah! |
| So beautiful. |
After having visited the Marie Antoinette Lookout, we decided we should check out the French Azilum which is only about 20 minutes from my dad's. It was a pretty cool place!
| Here the twins are trying to imagine life without electricity.... |
| I think I would have enjoyed living back then....if I were French royalty! |
| Beaver skin cap! |
| It was amazing to see the creativity and craftsmanship of these colonial people. |
| So much cool stuff to look at! |
| The details were breathtaking! |
| However, the twins got the most excited about this ELECTRIC fan! |
| Bread maker -- twins thought it was for pizza! |
| This bell used to be on the other side of the river and was used for Homet's Ferry to signal when the ferry was leaving. |
| "I'm hot." |
| "I want to explore more!" |
| We also found a hidden rock! |
Before we headed south, we decided to check out Ebb's Candy Store in Tunkhannock. What a neat spot!
| MAKE THE RAIN STOP! |
| LOADED UP AND READY TO HEAD HOME! |
| And as soon as we got home, they created this awesome fort! |
