Farm Camp 2019

This is the third year that the twins have done farm camp at Flint Hill Farm.  They are now old enough to do the full day camp and they really enjoyed it.  Unfortunately it rained almost the entire week and poor Cam got some nasty virus on Tuesday, but in the end, it was another awesome week for them on the farm.

We got to know the owner, Kathy, a bit more during the week.  She is a fantastic person and so interesting and very dedicated to her farm and animals.  Isn't her dog, Annie, the cutest??

These two "puppies" are recent additions to the farm - they help to keep the coyotes and foxes away from the chickens!

The twins wanted to show us how big the horseshoes are for the draft horses.  They have a blacksmith area right on the farm!

They are HUGE!

Cam's favorite animals this week were this donkey, LeRoy, and the pony, Echo.

Allie's favorites were the BUNNIES!!!!  She is absolutely in love with bunnies at the moment.

As mentioned, Cam was home sick on Tuesday,  Allie was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time and saw this little guy BORN!

Very exciting for her!  I asked her if it was gross and she said, "No!  It was so cool!"

Cam always loves the ducks and chickens!

Babies!

I personally love the goats - look at this guy!

HELLO!

Pigs!

We took a walk in the woods on the property.  They are officially marked as being parts of Penn's Woods.  Allie is looking at a caterpillar on the stick in front of her - I just love this look of wonder on her face!

During the week the children got to learn all sorts of neat things.  One was working with wool from the sheep.

Another was making cheese!  The twins enjoyed showing us parents how to do it!

Always a favorite - Bella the cat!

Just a few other things to share from the start of our summer!

I'm teaching on piano lesson this summer so the twins have to keep themselves busy during that time.  When I came up, they were sitting in the living room playing a card game.  Love it!

We dropped off our donations to Last Chance Ranch that the twins received at their birthday party.

We had a super fun day with Gammy at the Philly Zoo!

We were all pretending to be bears!

Phew...the cats are exhausted by us being home all day.

We took in a game at the Iron Pigs as a way to celebrate FATHER'S Day!

Fingers crossed we don't get as much rain this summer as last...we are embracing the rain storms this year!

We refuse to be stuck inside all summer so out we go!

Action shot!

Father's Day morning began a bit earlier than expected for Michael when this little guy decided to run across my foot.  He remained missing in our house all day until around dinnertime.  The cats were VERY interested in the stove so we figured he was underneath it.  After a big rescue mission, the mouse has now become "Squeaky" and lives in Cam's room!

We went to the Tailwagging Readers at our local library.  The twins got to read a few books to Mickey, the cute white pup!

 We absolutely love the summer!
