A Piano Recital

I have been giving the twins piano lessons for a few years now.  We worked really hard all summer and almost finished the Music Tree Time to Begin book.  I had asked the twins in July if they would play in a piano recital with me.  They were surprisingly ok with the idea!

I started off the recital with Chopin's "Raindrop Prelude".  Cameron then took the stage!

 Then Allie!

Captive audience!  Mommy is singing along!
All done!  They did SO well!

Our lovely audience!

 And now the video footage!

And then we were all in for a surprise!  When the kids were all done, Michael said, "Wait!  The recital isn't over yet!"  He then sat down and played the opening of "Fur Elise".  My jaw was dropped to the floor -- we all kind of just stood there listening to him play.  I actually teared up because I was so amazed at what we was able to do!  Apparently he had worked with a German guy on YouTube all through the week while I was at school.  What a surprise!

Hope we'll have many more recitals in the future!

  1. I love this blog. Your children did so well and are blessed to have you teaching them. I was in shock to read your husband surprised everyone with his piano recital as well. That speaks volumes of him
