Long Live Summer 2K19

Long live summer was a fun motto of my mother and mine.  We actually had shirts made at the mall that said this.  My mom would always wear it to the last day of school.  This post is dedicated to our final adventures before we all head back to school!

We headed to Bradford County for a final summer visit.  I've been wanting to take the twins to the Haystacks for a while now and figured this was a good time to try it.  We headed to Sullivan County and began the hike down in.  The hike itself was kind of boring...but then we came to the Haystacks - super fun!

Here we go!

Rocking our Survivor Buffs!

Almost there!

I tried to explain why these rocks were called the Haystacks...use your imagination!

We made it!

Almost as beautiful as New Hampshire -- just missing the White Mountains!

In we go!  It had rained the night before so was a wee bit chilly!

This rock was a challenge to get to!

We were all feeling pretty proud of ourselves at this point!

We hiked back and checked out the Dutchmen Falls.  Beautiful!

Home to Bah-Bah's to cool off in the pool....or get wet in the 87 degree pool!

Twinja handstands!

Ready.....

Set.....

Fly!

WE LOVE SUMMER!

Summer 4 LIFE!
We again participated in the Wyalusing Firemen's Parade.  We decided to take it a little easy this year since last year was pretty rough.  Bah-Bah in a new old truck and us in the Kabota!  Thanks to Mickey, we fit the theme of "Childhood Cartoons" perfectly!

Bah-Bah and his new best friend.

We took our raft on the Susquehanna River....we're considering naming it "The Adventurer!"

Lots of rain made the river super muddy!

So beautiful.  We were excited to see a bald eagle right at the end of our trip!

The raft is just perfect for a mommy and 2 twinjas!

We stopped for a quick lunch....

Off we go again!

A train!

The kids wanted to spend some time with Mickey....so we picked him up from work and gave him a day off!

We visited our friends' farm....alas none of these cuties came home with us.

Took Bah-Bah's boat out for a spin and some fishing...

Not quite the fisherwoman here....

This kid loves it.

The twins had a few days with just Daddy while I headed to Pittsburgh for a conference.  They held a lemonade stand to raise money to adopt a puffin.

Success!  Here is our Puffin - MR976!

Daddy projects are always super fun...

This piece of wood came all the way home with us from New Hampshire.  The kids found it in the woods...and wanted to paint it because it looked like a pencil.  Yup...that it does!

I had great helpers at school one day.

We've enjoyed these guys!

Lots of lovin' with our kitties.

We're all going to miss these summer days....but time to get back to work!
