Christmas 2019

Ok....this is going to be an undertaking.  HERE WE GO!!!

Christmas just keeps getting better year to year.  The twins are so fun to be around and Mike and I really enjoy being together as a family.  Throw in super fun presents from the big guy and you have a recipe for some fantastic memories!

We again featured artwork from the twins on our Christmas card.  This year it was Cam's turn!

We made snowflakes for the door since we were not going to have a white Christmas!

The twins shopped for each other and begged if they could open their presents on Christmas Eve.  We were trying to wait for Bah-Bah to come but he was taking forever.  So we agreed to let them open one.

 Bah-Bah and Emma finally came!

And then Bah-Bah finally arrived so they could open the rest!

We gave Bah-Bah our presents...

A suitcase for our trip to Kansas this summer!

Even little Emma got a few presents!
Then it was time for the Christmas Even service at church.

Things got a little silly sitting on the steps waiting for the service to begin.

They did a great job singing!

The service was lovely - Pastor Jack talked about the sun setting on Christmas Eve and as we looked out the window, we noticed a lovely sunset.  We always think of Grandma Stanton when we see pink in a sunset.

Glad Gammy and Poppy came!

A bit better shot of the sunset...

We got a picture before everyone changed out of their nice clothes.

Then it was time for a super fun scavenger hunt that Daddy had put together!
He had hidden Christmas ornaments all over the house....

And each ornament had 1 single world written on it along with a piece of paper indicating which room the next ornament was in...

Cam really loved this - and ran up and gave Daddy a big hug telling him so.

I'm actually shocked Rhys didn't find the ornaments first!

The final sentence read, "The first present of Christmas is in your room."

This led to their Christmas Even boxes that had a few presents inside..

..including their ornaments..

And one final clue that read, "The second present of Christmas is in Mommy and Daddy's room."

They found them in our closet.....

Allie was especially excited!  Can't wait to wear them to practice next week!

It was then time for our Christmas Even dinner.
And our annual under the tree picture...

Little Emma wanted to be in the picture this year!

I think my favorite memory from Christmas Eve was something that happened between C and A.  They both have a loose tooth and have been hoping they'd lose it on Christmas Eve.  Cameron actually said a week or so ago, "I'm hanging onto this tooth until Christmas Eve!!"  The reason?  They wanted both the Tooth Fairy and Santa to visit on the same night.  It came time to try to extract the teeth -- Daddy was helping Allie and I was helping Cam.  We were really struggling to get the tooth out and at about that time, Allie came in crying.  She said her tooth wasn't ready to come out and she was so disappointed.  Cameron walked over to her and gave her a big hug -- he said, "It's ok.  My tooth isn't ready to come out either."  So sweet.

 Final preparation for Santa!

Good night!!!

 Christmas morning....

Love his reaction!  Think he likes his Screech Owl house???

The aftermath!

Cam got this huge beanbag from Santa -- little Emma loved it!

The kiddos and I took Emma for a walk.  Cameron said, "I don't want our walk to ever end!"

Emma needed a little help staying focused on walking forward - it helped a lot when Allie ran ahead!

Cameron has been doing some golfing lessons with Daddy -- both boys were excited about this Christmas present from Mommy.

Cam and Daddy went out to hit a few balls at the driving range after Christmas.  4 hours later they finally came home!  Cam liked it so much that they golfed the front 9!

Fun trick we showed Bah-Bah before he headed home...

It was then time to head to Gammy and Poppy's on Christmas day!

More presents!!!

Cam made a tower of his toys!

Yes, this man is obsessed with Santa.

The twins gave Aunie E a super special gift this year!

HAHAHA!!  They have named him Mr. Creepy Eyes!
We did squeeze in a few minutes of relaxation this break...

We headed to the Winter Lights Spectacular at the Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Saw a reindeer!

Cameron was getting a bit sick of all of the smiling for pictures....

Michael spied this Santa -- putting it on his list for next year!

Grumpy reindeer!

We got together with the Mackels this Christmas..

Loving her new outfit from Gammy!

Mr. Creepy Eyes strikes again!

And then headed home to Bah-Bahs.

We visited Grandma Stanton.

Took Emma for a walk to visit with Great-Grandpa Carr and pick up a bit of garbage.

Quick photoshoot with Mommy's new camera!

Also threw in a quick wrestling match.

We went to Mrs. Dibble's for a visit.  Earlier in the day, I had gone for a walk back at home and had found a feather stuck in the ground.  I said out loud, "Mom, if this is you, please send me a ladybug."  The twins were playing a game with Daddy while I chatted with Mrs. Dibble and out came a ladybug.  Thanks, Mama.

Allie played "The Robot" for Mrs. Dibble.  So nice!

We had a nice dinner at the Hotel with some of our family.

We then headed back to my dad's for a little party on the patio...in December....

The Stanton girls!

Bah-Bah made us homemade ice cream.

Allie created this lovely artwork.

We were freezing -- but this ice cream is yummy!

Seven years since my mom died had a beautiful sunrise...

We took Emma for a walk back over the hill.  My dad told a fun story of the time he and mom saw a bear running through this field.

Took a quick gator ride...

With Bah-Bah in the lead, you never know where these rides can take us!

We ended up at the Gromley's to visit their bunnies!!

 And their barn..

Back home to Coopersburg for a bit more relaxing time...

And now we're getting geared up for New Year's Eve!!!  Thank you, 2019, for a great year!
