October is almost over. It's such an odd experience living during a pandemic. I feel like we're all in some sort of time warp. The spring seems so long ago -- but when we were quarantining, it felt like it would never end. The summer was weird and full of anxiety. Now school has started and because of the hybrid learning model, kind of feels like school just started. I've seen my students 9 times in "real life" since school opened in August. Mike continues to try to teach health and phys ed through the computer. Allie and Cameron love going to their school twice a week, staying home with Daddy on Wednesdays, and going to Miss Diane's on Fridays.
The twins did get to have a costume parade and party at school. No parents or volunteers allowed -- but at least they got to do something that felt normal. We've been talking about how to raise children during this pandemic and many families agreed we feel like we are filling in all of the holes that are missing. We all agreed -- Halloween had to be a big, fun event....and it was!
First step was getting our Halloween decorations on point. The twins have been complaining for a few years that our Halloween decorations weren't "creepy enough". Thanks to a shopping spree on Amazon, we made steps in the right direction! Next year we will add a smoke machine and way more skeletons!

| Got this witch on a discount....can you see why? |

| Meet Miss Matilda |
We are trying to still do all of the fall fun things we usually enjoy. We visited a local orchard to pick apples. The owner told me she had COVID in the spring and is very thankful to be running her orchard again. We were happy to support their business!
Penn State is back playing football....first game didn't end quite how we wanted. But we still have a super cute cheerleader in the house!

| Gammy gave us her skeleton to add to our decorations. Meet Mr. Billy Bones! |
 |
| Time to peel those apples! |
We aren't able to go to church right now but Miss JoAnn still was able to give us their Bibles.
Taking advantage of our last few weeks of nice weather. We went back to Trexler Park -- a place we visited many times in the spring.

| There go the twins! |
 |
| General Trexler! |
 |
| I made it to the top too! |
The twins are doing well in 3rd grade so far!
And along comes Halloween!!! Since Allie decided she wanted to be a Zombie Cheerleader, I thought it would be fun to be a Nazareth Cheerleader. I borrowed a uniform from my school and pom-poms from Miss Diane. Yes, I wore it to school!
Michael, in true form, went above and beyond in his creativity.

Gammy asked where her sweet grandchildren went!!!

We had a lot of fun themed food at our party...
A little chilly....but all in all, we had a great night to trick-or-treat. We even had a Blue Moon!
We met up with our neighbors....
We weren't sure how many houses would participate. Everyone who did do it in very smart and save ways!
We love our neighbors!
Auntie E, Colton and Aria!
The twins got an amazing amount of candy this year!
And our Halloween party was picture perfect!
The battle of the leaves rages on...
And Miss Allie decided to get her ears pierced today!!

| Allie asked to get Mother Daughter necklaces....love this little girl to the moon and back!!! |
