Covid-19 is still a concern but wow - what a difference a year makes. Feeling MUCH better than I was a year ago when I did my Easter post.
This Easter was filled with dyeing eggs, special gifts and surprises, the Philadelphia airport (for far longer than we wanted!), family and friends.
First up, time to dye the eggs!
 |
| Annual mixing of all the colors for the final egg! |
 |
| The last egg of Easter! |
 |
| Allie took care of the finer details. |
 |
| Cameron took care of playing with the ugly dye. |
 |
| Done! |
Bah-Bah turned the big 70 on April 7th!
Gammy made a stop to deliver the twins' their Easter baskets since we were going to be traveling over the weekend.
 |
| Mary Therese also dropped off some special gifts! |
 |
| I love things like this -- hope the twins know what a treasure this is! |
 |
| Allie-girl loves olives. :) |
 |
| Wow!! |
 |
| Another sweet treasure. |
Then...it was time to fly south!!!
 |
| We arrived at the Philly airport thinking all was well.... |
 |
| And then found out our flight was delayed 7 hours..... |
The time went by surprisingly quickly. Luckily the twins were in good spirits...
 |
| And Daddy got to drink some spirits.... |
Things got a little dicey right at the end....here we are hoping to see our plane arrive!
We found this great hallway to run around in.
Even Boo the dog was over this airport...."Take us to the beach!"
And then.....IT ARRIVED!!!!!!!
 |
| 7 hours later....let's do this! |
 |
| FINALLY!!! |
 |
| FINALLY!!!!!! |
Finally made it to MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA!
It was a bit chilly the first few days we were there. We headed to our favorite spot next to this drainage pipe. :)
Since it was a little too cold for the beach, we decided to check out the Myrtle Beach State Park.
Cam was eating an apple and then all of a sudden...there was his loose tooth!
Back to the beach!
Still very chilly!
The campground where we stay with Miss Diane had a lot of fun Easter activities for us to do. We did the virtual egg hunt.
Which really helped us figure out this campground a bit better!
One egg took us to the animal sanctuary. Cam took the following pictures!
Back to the egg hunt!
Egg hunt complete...back to the beach to attempt to sit on it...it was still very cold and very windy!
Twins didn't care...they had a lot of fun catching these creepy things in the drainage pipe...
We think this is a baby Flounder!
Even though it was cold....a day at the beach is MUCH BETTER than a day anywhere else!
The crazy twins ventured into the water...
And then had to get warmed up!
A sand blanket is a great idea.
We checked out the Broadway at the Beach - really neat place!
 |
| Daddy asked if he could bring this guy home and I said no way! |
 |
| It was great seeing Bonnie Fox -- wife of my 6th grade teacher. Thanks for showing us around! |
The twins woke up to special treats hidden around Miss Diane's house Easter morning.
Famliy photoshoot!!!
 |
| Thank you for opening your home to us!!! |
Back to the beach...and yes, we finally got a warm, sunny day!
Time to go back home. :(
The Easter Bunny hid the twins' baskets while we were gone!!
As well as a few eggs....that tricky rabbit!
