It feels SOOO good to be able to plan parties again! We are rapidly approaching the twins' 10th birthday celebration and thankful that we can go full steam ahead with all things party!!!
But don't let me get ahead of myself...time to recap Easter 2022.
Since I do not like community egg hunts (too many pushy children AND parents!) I decided to organize a Susan Road Egg Hunt. Thanks to Michael, we pulled it off! Two waves of children hunting for eggs + new neighbors + old friends = a fantastic day!
First we had to dye a few eggs of our own.
Tried out this Volcano thing....fun - but we think we prefer the old fashioned method!
Things begin to go off the rails about now....
No need for these gloves to be gloves....we'd rather they be water balloons!
Back to the egg dying....time for the LAST EGG OF EASTER! Per Stanton tradition, we mixed together all of the dyes!
In she goes!
Onto the Susan Road Easter Egg Hunt!
The "second wave" kids hid the eggs for the "first wave" kids!
Time to hunt!
Then the adults hid the eggs for the "second wave" kids!
Big kids were banished to the living room so they wouldn't see where the eggs were being hidden!
We then released the animals!
