HELLO SUMMER!!!!!!! As soon as Michael finished school, the Rocc Flock headed SOUTH to Myrtle Beach!
WE MADE IT!
Huge thanks to Miss Diane for letting us use her car and rent her lovely home!
Down to the beach we went!
Nighttime at the beach is always a good time! Felt so good to smell that salty air again!
I went for an early morning run...so much better running by the ocean!
We then packed up and headed for an all-day at the beach adventure!
The ocean was SO warm. We all enjoyed getting in there this year.
We headed out for a fun dinner in Murrells Inlet.
We headed out on a "Dolphin Cruise" the next morning. Alas, no dolphins were seen on this cruise!!!
Mike took the kids mini-golfing while I was home zooming for a grad class!
Did a bit of shopping! How cool is this gift shop?
Back to the ocean!
Allie made a weird little man buried in the beach...can you see his belly and feet sticking out?
All packed up for another day of fun!
The campground is so great because there are many things you can do without ever leaving!
"Cruising" was pretty fun. Every night, people cruise around the campground in their golf carts. Getting high fives and passing out candy made this super fun!
Another night on the beach.....
We then decided to take a break from the beach and check out the Huntington Beach State Park.
Time to do some alligator searching!
Cameron found Hunter the Turtle!
Michael was very into these alligators! So cool!
We then got to spend a little bit of time with friends from Coopersburg before heading to the Pirates Voyage!
Back to Ocean Lakes to hang out with our neighbors a bit more!
Everyone got to pick something to do during our last day....Allie picked the waterpark (shots above) and Cam picked another round of mini-golfing. Michael asked to be left along on the beach but we all thought that wasn't the best idea for family time.
We stopped at a BBQ restaurant to grab dinner before heading to the airport and the most amazing thing EVER happened!!
WE MET SANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We weren't sure it was the real guy.....but he knew some stuff (particularly about Cameron) that made us all super excited..it really was him!
Alas the trip had to come to an end....but no fear. Still lots of summer left -- and lots more adventures to go on. A few shots from our trip to Jacobsburg...
