Happy 72nd Bah-Bah!

Poppy passed away this week on Wednesday, April 5th.  I need some time to get my thoughts together before I do a post in honor of the twins' grandfather.  Losing yet another loved one to cancer has been difficult.

My father turned 72 on April 7th and we had a small surprise party for him.  However, a bit of catching up before we get there!

Panther continues to be "out little gentlemen".

Rhys continues to be the naughty one.

Allie girl continues to look like my mini-me!

We've been seeing lots of great shows around the Lehigh Valley.  We saw Shrek at Nazareth Area Middle School.

Thank you to Mrs. van Thiel for giving us a behind the scenes tour!

Cam and I participated in races in Emmaus.  Cam came in first for the Kids' Fun Run and I came in 4th in my age bracket for the 4 miler.

BEFORE

After!  So proud!

April Fool's day fell on a Saturday this year.  Allie and I had fun planning some surprises for the boys....

Allie created a bowl of surprises!

Cameron created a trick by saying, "Daddy, there's water coming out of the bathroom!"

"What in the world!?!?"

I love Allie's little smerk!

We were also getting ready for a friend Easter egg hunt that evening - Allie created these "Bunny Butt Brownies".

One final trick - Allie put all of Cam's games in his "stuff" folder.

Onto our next show - we saw "Anastasia" at Bangor High School.

We once again got a super special backstage tour!

Weird?!

Time for the Easter Egg Hunt!  Due to a bad thunderstorm, we had to move the hunt indoors.  No worries - kids still had a blast!

This one was tough to find and dangerous to get!

 Few random shots....

Cam was being held hostage by the kitties.

This popped up in my memories...so cute.

 Onto Bah-Bah's bday!

Allie made this great card.

Twins worked together to make a special dessert for the birthday party.

The beginnings of our dirt cake!

Finished!

Cam's been saving for several months to purchase his first XBox.  It arrived and he was SO excited!

After a disappointing winter, the spring has been just beautiful so far.

 Onward to Bradford County!

We are ready!!

Surprise!

I got him a newspaper that was printed on April 7th, 1951.

Little Romona came to the party, too!

Bah-Bah was too busy cuddling with Romona to get up for his cake - so we all sang to him....

....and Cam blew the candles out for him.

Little bit of egg decorating to round out our evening...

We had to run out to see this beautiful sunset!

Back to the eggs -- Cameron took care of the traditional "last egg of Easter"!

Allie's Egg creation!

Headed out for some spotlighting....

The sky was just beautiful!

The next day was super busy.  First up was planting Cam's game camera.

Bah-Bah took us over to see a new beaver dam that's currently under construction.

We took our maiden voyage on the Ergo -- slightly terrifying but really fun!
'

Pretty close to capsizing but we made it work!

Allie and Jill gave the ladybug a fresh coat of paint!

And then it was time to give our new bikes a spin - these were early birthday presents from my dad.  Cameron was up first and took right to it!

Bah-Bah showed up and decided to follow us for a ride - Miss Emma decided to come along as well!

Phew!  The gas road has some challenging hills!

I really enjoyed this ride - I see many more rides this summer!

Back to the house -- getting excited for the pool to be opened up!

Allie's turn -- her bike is just a bit too big for her but she did great with her first try.

Nothing like learning how to ride on a gas pad!

Off she goes!

What a good brother!

Back to the 'burg - time to hunt for the Easter baskets!

Allie started out by saying, "That curtain looks suspicious..."  BINGO!

That curtain also looks suspicious - BINGO again!

Mike enjoyed looking at the football cards Cam got from the bun.

Allie enjoyed working with her modeling clay.

Look at those ears!!!

We're all hurting from losing Poppy but thought it would help to get together for Easter.  It was a beautiful day at the DiFrank's.

We had one more egg hunt!

 Dyed a few more eggs.....

Allie used her modeling clay to make Gammy a cardinal.  She keeps seeing them - signs from above

The kiddos had so much fun playing and being silly.

We had a lovely Easter dinner.
