Memorial Day Weekend

MAY WAS BUSY.  After I put all of the stuff on the calendar in the arts and crafts room, I physically felt sick to my stomach.  Between my school schedule, Mike's school schedule, baseball, softball, Girl Scouts and then special events that happen in May...it was a rough month.  We had decided to hear north for Memorial Day weekend for some much needed time away from the Lehigh Valley!

First stop was THE RIVER!  Dad has rented a lot and we were super excited to check it out!

We brought along Poppy's hammock and found the perfect spot for it!

Down to the water we go!

Dad had Mom's pool sparkling.

Back to the river for dinner!

Cam and I decided to spend the night in the camper!

 Good morning!

 Back to the pool.....

We decided to take Cam's game camera over to try to capture the new beavers at work on their dam.

 They've been hard at work!

Back to the river -- my dad kept saying we'd be busy trying to do everything - he was right!

Cam tried some fishing in the river....no luck this time!

Emma LOVES it here!

Excited to have Ryder come hang out!

Apparently the boys got to the other side of the river and gathered a bunch of trash AND a dead/decomposing fish.  They brought it all back over to Mike and continue to create this.....

The girls headed back to the pool to hang out with the Stanton Cousins.

Got Cameron - and headed to Smile Awhile!

We had one more thing to do before heading back to the rush of home.....Dad's secret pond!

Thanks for the feather, Mom.

 We DID have success here!

Emma LOVES the boat!

Allie and Em relaxing a bit....

And then.....Allie got INTO fishing!  She caught several all on her own....including ALMOST catching one of the biggest bull head's I've ever seen.  She almost had it in the boat - and then the line snapped!

Time to head south....but we had fun making sure this guy got across the road safely.

 Back to mass chaos.....

Allie's 10U team is now in the playoffs.....

I'm busy starting a new position with the Bach Choir of Bethlehem.

Cam's flag team got all the way to the championship game...didn't quite get the win but they had lots of fun in the playoffs!

And then twins are geared up to celebrate their 11th birthday.....just a few pics from days long ago.

I volunteered at the twins' class picnic.  Very fun day!

I've been sending little notes in Allie's lunch box - this was the final installment of a special story all about a young girl turning 11.

Birthday weekend is upon us!
