Ah, the woes of vegetables! Why can't things that are good for us taste really good? And why do the really healthy vegetables have to be green? I've been fighting with Cameron the last few weeks on trying to get him to eat his vegetables. If it's green, it's going to be thrown on the floor. Allie has been doing a really good job at eating everything I put in front of her but who knows how long that will last.
The babies had loved eating the zucchini bread I made them a few weeks ago and it made me remember an episode of Oprah where Jessica Seinfeld was on talking about her book, "Deceptively Delicious." I quickly ordered the book and it arrived on Friday. Thus began my plan of deceiving the children.
All of the recipes are super easy and we had most of the ingredients already in the house. Mike cringed as I pulled the Baby Bullet back out because he thought we were done with pureeing. It didn't take me long though to create several purees that hopefully will find their ways into the babies' bodies this week!
I'm not going to lie -- the first thought to pop into my head this morning (ok, the first thought was, "Why can't you babies sleep past 6:00????") was how excited I was to try a Deceptively Delicious recipe out on the twins. Check out the pictures below to see if it was a success!

| Carrot french toast and cauliflower eggs, coming right up! |
| Allie is thinking, "Why is Mommy looking at me like that?" |
| Cameron's thinking, "Yeah, really. Why is she being so weird?" |
| As I was thinking, "Yes!!! They're eating it!!" |
| "Allie, how is the cauliflower...I mean eggs??" |
| Here's Cameron destroying his breakfast! |
| Hardly any of this ended up on the floor!! Whoo hoo! |
| Thank you, Jessica, for a great cookbook! |
One thing I don't have to hide for the babies to eat are beets. Maybe it's because they know how much of a mess they will get to create while eating it!
