Easter 2014

Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!!!!  The twinjas are sleeping in until 6:30!!!  It is truly glorious.  It made waking up Sunday morning to search for our baskets SO much enjoyable than searching for the baskets while it was still dark outside.  Speaking of which, Mike said his parents hid eggs but not his baskets when he was growing up.  My parents hid our baskets and it was always super fun.  I think one of my favorite spots my basket was hidden was in the dryer!
So I was really looking forward to seeing the twins search for their baskets.  Thank you to Mrs. Richter for putting together some really fantastic baskets for the twins!!!  I hid Cam's behind the breakfast bar so he would see it when he rounded the corner.  I should have known he'd be more interested in the snack cupboard than in the basket....

"Mommmmy.  I don't care about the Easter Bunny..Just give me my snack!!"
"Fine, woman.  I'll look at this silly basket."

Allie was much more into it...She has spotted her basket!

"What is THAT??"

The twins haven't tried many sweets during their two years of life.  This Easter holiday changed all that!  Here they are discovering Peeps.

"You say this is food???  It doesn't look much like food."

"I don't really want to eat this little chick..maybe if I just take a little off the top."

"Whoa!!!  What is that taste????"

"Maybe if I just lick it I'll like it..."

I found the cutest Easter dress for Allie at our local consignment shop.  I've been talking it up all week with her and Chrissy had also been putting a lot of effort into trying to convince Allie to wear it.  I wasn't too sure it was actually going to happen.  I have memories of HATING the pink, lacy dresses my mom always put me in.  After a few screams of discontent, I think she enjoyed wearing it...and I know she enjoyed getting all of the attention!

"I am the princess and you shall all bow down to me."

Such a little gentleman!

"Make this basket come off!!!"  And yes, we did rip the basket out of the bunny's hands.  You do what you gotta do to keep a 2 year old happy!

"Ah, yes.  My favorite part of this holiday!!"

"You got me in the dress...now let me run free!"

"Come on brother.  There are eggs to be found!"

"I've got the baskets!  Get a move on!"
We tried our hardest to get a nice shot with Gammy and Poppy Rocchi.  We caught a few nice ones with Gammy....
Poppy didn't fare as well....
Poppy using Allie as an air guitar!!!

We did get a few nice shots of the Rocc Flock..

In closing, Cameron looked like a businessman who had put in a hard day's work and then hit the bar for a few drinks.  He was quite disheveled with his sleeves unbuttoned, shirt coming untucked, hair a mess, eyes bloodshot (from his allergies!)....

And then we caught this HUGE yawn....Yes, he played hard all day!
