Easter Eggstravaganza!!!

Happy Easter!  I don't think I am able to put into words how much happiness and joy the twins are bringing to Michael and me.  In a time of constant stress (house hunting/selling is awful!) they bring such fun into our lives.  Enjoy!

First up -- dying Easter eggs in our jammies!

"This is so awesome!"

"This one is going to be so cool!"

Shrek hand!

Almost done!

After a quick bath to wash off all of the dye, time to add the finishing touches!

Next up, our very first real Easter Egg hunt!  The reason I say "real" is the twins have taken part in many practice runs with their grandparents and with Chrissy.  They were primed and ready for today!  Thanks to Barbe for hosting a wonderful hunt!

"I think I like Easter more than Christmas!"

"I think there is one here!!"

"Got it!"

"I see one!"

"Got it!"

We got this far when everything came to a screeching halt when the twins realized there were snacks inside the eggs!

Yum yum!

The twins had their first taste of jelly beans and gummy worms!

Ok, this picture begins a hilarious moment from today.  I had asked Mike to take a picture of me and the twins and as you can see, they were more into their snacks than looking up at the camera.  So I decided to try to trick them by telling them to look at the birds up in the trees.  Well...

"Cameron!  Allie!  Look at the camera!"

"Look up at the birds in the tree!"

"Where are they??"

"WHERE ARE THEY???"

"I think maybe I see one?  I mean, Mommy said there were birds up there so they MUST be up there!"

"I see nothing.  I think she lied to us."
They quickly forgot about the birds when lunchtime started.  Cameron gives Barbe's macaroni and cheese his stamp of approval.  He just kept saying "mmmmm" the whole time he was eating!

Time for fun with bubbles.  Thanks, Chrissy!

Thanks for another great memory, Barbe!
In closing, Mike and I were in the kitchen and heard giggles coming from the living room.  I crept into the room to see what was happening and saw this...

These kids are pretty awesome.
