Dinodelphia

As one last adventure for the summer, we headed to check out the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia.  It was a really cool place - so cool that we bought a family membership!!

Off we go!  It ain't over 'til it's over!

Very excited to be here but we all got scared when they started moving and growling!!

Mike taught them how to do T-Rex arms!

They were VERY excited!

Cam was too busy checking out the fossils to pause for a selfie!  Allie on the other hand - what a ham!

Push a button to make them move...

Our new pet..

This guy was seriously creepy.

It had awesome dioramas.

A cool craft - they got to wrap up a shark tooth just like anthropologists would!

"Don't mess with me, dude!"

Gah!

"You need to start flossing!"

"Yes!  Take care of those gums!"

Got to search for fossils....

Got up close an personal with a jaw bone.

It even had a butterfly conservatory!

Little puppet show action...

Dig dig dig!

We got to see some scientists at work!

This thing was cool - as you ran on the treadmill it made the dino go go go!
Hung out in the jungle with some dinos..
This was the twins' favorite part -- they loved pretending to "save" the eggs!
I've mentioned before that Cam finds a ton of feathers.  This one was so cool -- we saw a little bird on the sidewalk and Cam wanted to try to catch it.  It of course flew away but it left this tiny feather behind.  Cameron kept saying, "Thank you, birdie!!"
And just some random last minute pics from our last few days of summer vacay:
Allie's diorama in the bathtub...

Cameron is falling in love with Simon more and more.

Our little explorers were checking out caverns one night.

Simon and Raz are close to being buddies.

Simon likes being king of the hill.

We had a great bonfire with our neighbors!

And we saw Star of the Day's production of Seussical!

So -- all in all, it was a great summer.  Thanks for the memories!
