Day 1 is in the books! Allie and Cameron have been anxiously awaiting the first day of Kindergarten for several weeks now. We got the new shoes, the backpack, the lunchbox, the headphones for their iPad (!!!). All we needed was for today to arrive. It is very hard to believe that 5 years have passed so quickly and these twinjas went from weighing 3.1 pounds to now riding a school bus and heading off to school! They had a great first day and Mommy survived it.....barely!
Last night was filled with lots of preparations of getting paperwork filled out, getting just the right lunches packed, getting back-to-school haircuts....and reading 2 special books. The twins enjoyed hearing "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn and "The Night Before Kindergarten" by Natasha Wing.
Cameron was up first thing this morning followed quickly by Allie. However, Allie was the first to be dressed and teeth brushed -- she was ready to go! Mike starts back to school tomorrow and I was heading in late to school so this morning was able to be a bit more relaxed. They enjoyed a BIG breakfast to get them through their first day.
And then it was time to get the other one dressed and head outside for our annual back to school pictures!

| Their first homework assignment! They had to decorate it with things they love. Cameron included cats, farm items, a puzzle piece, super heroes, a bulldozer, sports items and the ocean! |
