It has come and gone -- another great week at the Poconos. I posted this picture on Facebook and mentioned how I was sad the night before we had to leave. A family member commented that if you're sad about leaving, then you've found your special spot. I think Locust Lake is our special spot!
We headed up on a Sunday afternoon. We were all VERY excited to be heading back to our favorite house right on the lake. We got all unpacked and headed down to the playground. Mike and I were lucky enough to be protected by 2 pretty awesome super heroes!

We felt just a bit slighted when the young life guard in charge of giving our the life jackets asked if we had kids -- we're assuming he thought the life jackets were for our kids. When we answered, "No, they're for us" he just kind of looked at us. We're convinced he real quick radioed out to the other quite young life guard in the water, "Watch out - moms are coming out!" |

We then had a nice 2-3 hour break where the children stayed up at the house and the adults sat on the beach. Cameron and Mason could very well have eaten an entire bag of potato chips and watched 7 shows in a row....but who cares! It's summer!!!

| Ahh..unfortunately this picture is in memory of Turdy the Turtle. Turdy the Turtle was a friend, a playmate, a soul mate to all the children during our days at the Poconos. Mason named him after only knowing him for a few minutes. Sadly, Turdy did not make it back into the bin of toys to return to Coopersburg. Thank you for the memories, Turdy. We will always love you and never forget you. HA! |
