Up Home

We just returned from a lovely visit "up home".  The visit contained our usual adventures:  parade, carnival, pool, gator ridin'!

The twins have been partaking in the Wyalusing Fireman's Parade since they were only 1 year old.   This year's theme was "Tropical"!

Lookin' good in that coconut bra!!  HA!

We wanted to re-create this picture from 2015...

I think we're pretty spot on!

"What?!?!  Oh, this candy isn't for us???"

I'm one happy dude.

Aloha!
The whole gang!
Bah-Bah in his glory!

Loved seeing Grandpa Carr!

Off to the carnival!

I LOVED these things when I was a kid!

This was the twins' favorite ride!

Onto the pool!  I gave each of the twins a goal to work on while we were at Bah-Bah's beautiful, WARM pool.  Allie had to work on getting her face under water and Cam had to work on jumping off the diving board.  Allie also threw in getting better at jumping into the pool!

Cam met his goal!

"I always knew I could do it."

"Was that good, Mommy?"

Proud of him!

I love being in this pool....missing my mom but I know she'd love seeing us in there!  Several ladybugs visited us while there and Cam found tons and tons of feathers...so we know she was around!

Allie took a quick break to zip around on her bike for a bit.

I am one cool biker chick.

Back to the pool!!!

Someone was being a ham....

And here's Allie beginning to work on her goal!

Here she goes!!!

We didn't get a picture but SHE DID IT!!!  She improved by leaps and bounds this past week.  So proud of her!

Time for a Kubota ride!

We met up with Grandpa Carr along the way!

Stopped for a quick chat...

Relaxin'

Love these pictures of Grandpa Carr.

Off we go!  Deer!

Onward to the gravel pit!

Back to the pool to swim with our Stanton cousins!

Geronimo!!

Go Lizzie!

Allie in the eye of the storm!

Our other ham!

Excited about being able to go under!

Airborn!

Cam has gotten really good at hitting the ball as Mike pitches it in - no more T!

Went on a quick ride with Bah-Bah -- saw more deer!

Allie proclaimed, "All kids must sit in the back!"  They just fit!

Gator ridin' with Bah-Bah always contains a bit of off-roading.

Shorty says, "Where have you been??"

The crew!
Bah-Bah took us for a ride in his big truck!

Love the way Cam is looking at him!
We picked up garbage around the block for Grandma Stanton.

Cam would hang out of the Kubota until he saw a piece of garbage....or a pretty flower....or a cool rock...or a neat leaf...and we would have to stop.  It was a LONG trip!

Took a break to throw some rocks in the swamp!

We visited Grandma Stanton and delivered the flowers we picked for her.

We hid a few Lehigh Valley rocks!

We also checked out the Dushore Founder's Day Celebration.

On the way there, Bah-Bah wanted to show us "the biggest pig you'll ever see!!"

Hi!

A bunny obstacle course!

One sly Fox

Here's Mike listening to me as I try to convince him to allow us to adopt this kitty.....it didn't work!  :(

Cam LOVES kittens!  Someone adopted this little one before Allie could hold him!

Saw dogs run a neat agility course....I think Shorty could use a few laps around this course!

Here is Joan posing with Allie -- Joan knitted the famous BLANKIES!!!

Cam didn't feel like getting his picture taken but here is Joan's reaction to the condition of Cam's blanket!!
Our neighbor, Mary Therese, gave us a few caterpillars to watch as they went into the cocoons and eventually will come out as Monarch Butterflies.  Grandma Stanton always did this with her 2nd graders so I enjoy seeing Allie and Cameron take interest in it!

Mary Therese also recommended we visit the Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary - we hit it on the way home today!

Starting to feel the tell-tale sign of sadness that always comes around after the carnival...going to miss these lazy, beautiful days.....and nights!
