The children's teacher has been inviting family members to come into her classroom all through March to be Mystery Readers. The twins kept asking me if I was going to come into read. I kept telling them that it was really hard for Daddy or me to come in since we were teachers too and had our own students and classes to teach. Little did they know that I had signed up for this past Monday!
As I stood outside their classroom, I could hear their teacher giving clues. I guess the entire class starts by standing up and as she gives clues, students remain stranding if the clues pertain to them. So they had the following: This mommy has two children, one is a boy and one is a girl, the children are twins (they have TWO sets of boy/girls twins in their class!), this mommy is a teacher (both sets still standing!) and finally, this mommy is a MUSIC teacher! At that point, I heard their teacher say, "Allie and Cameron, go see if that's your mommy at the door!" When they opened the door, there I was! Allie's cheeks were all rosy (I think from her being excited) and Cam kind of just looked at me and then showed me where to come. I read two books to the twins and their classmates and then I was back in the car heading back to Nazareth! It was a fun 10 minutes and I enjoyed every minute of it!
