Memorial Day Weekend, 2015

I saw an article today written by a soldier that said he hates when people say "Happy Memorial Day".  There really isn't much happiness behind the true reason we celebrate Memorial Day.  I had never thought about that before reading this article.  I would like to say THANK YOU to all past, present, and future people who help to protect our country.

Saturday we went to my dad's house to do a spring clean up.  We got so much done and the outside looks really nice.  We also had a chance to visit my mom's headstone.  Her best friend, Connie, brought over some really nice things.  Thank you to Chris for helping out with the twinjas so we were able to help my dad out!

I swear -- I had every intention of going to church with the twins Sunday morning.  However, the weather was so nice and they were having so much fun outside...and Allie was insisting she wear her "Frozen" dress to church - not a battle I felt like waging....that we decided to just stay home and be thankful for our time together enjoying the beautiful weather!

"What's wrong with wearing this to church??"

Oh, yeah...and this one didn't have pants on!

"I still think this would have been fine to wear to church."

"Give me a kiss, Momma!"
We were hosting a picnic Sunday afternoon so I put Mike right to work...here he is vacuuming out the playhouse!

 And onto the picnic!

The Howells boys giving the girls a ride!

Cameron at the wheel!

Don't they look so guilty??

Time to eat!
Time for s'mores!

Ha!  I bought JUMBO marshmallows for today!  They were humungous!

And then today we had the chance to visit a friend of ours family farm.  It was another beautiful day!  Thank you to Cheyenne and Jeff for allowing us to visit your farm!

"I'm a country girl!"

"What's next???"

Cool cat.
These next three pictures crack me up..her facial expressions are too much!

Grandpa Stanton will like these pictures!

Moo-cows

Thank you, Cheyenne!

One of my children agreed to take a picture with me..

The only one was too deep in thought...

"This farming stuff is pretty cool!"

And in closing...since I've shared the many faces of Allie throughout this post, these last two faces are the looks she gives me when she's not happy about something...

Wow -- if looks could kill!
