My 34th Year on Earth

  Well, it's over.  I'm officially 34 years old and now working on my 35th year.  I can hardly believe it - I still feel like I'm in my early twenties!  Today was a rough day for me as I was missing my mom tremendously.  I've come to realize that my birthday is really the hardest day for me out of the entire year.  I find my birthday the hardest because there's really nothing else to focus on except the person who gave birth to me is no longer here.  Christmas is hard too but at least I have the kids to focus on during that time.  But at least it's over for another year!

 I did have a fun weekend with my family.  My dad brought Lily, Eli, and Lizzie down for a visit Saturday morning.  We headed over to Allentown to check out the Heavy Equipment Petting Zoo.  Much fun!

   Then back to our house for more fun.  The twins LOVED having their cousins here to play with!

Allie says, "What do you mean that in a month we can play all day outside and stay up late every night?  What is this 'summer' you speak of??? It sounds glorious!"  Mommy says, "Yes, Allie.  Summer is a real thing and it is glorious!"

 And finally, a nice day spent at the park with my little family to celebrate my birthday.  I did have lots of tears this morning over missing my mom but also had many smiles, laughs, hugs, and kisses that help me through even the hardest day.  Thank you to everyone who sent me a text or FB message!  I truly appreciated them!

The morning started with a woodpecker sighting in our backyard.  We got so close to it!  The twins loved it!
