Point Pleasant

 Mike and I love the beach.  So much that we got married on one!  Today is the only day we got to enjoy the beach this summer....but next summer, back to the Outer Banks!!!

 Our good friend, Uncle Mikey, joined us for the adventure east.  He arrived bright and early this morning, we got the car packed up, stopped for some DD, and off we went!

Glad it is a short trip to the beach!  Twins were great during the ride!

People next to us had dug a really great hole....so we dug one, too!  In true Rocchi Luck fashion, the ocean just WOULD NOT fill up our hole.  It went around it, but never in it....until it finally did!  Let the fun begin!

 My mom has been sending a lot of signs lately....Cam and I were playing letters yesterday and her name showed up in the letters:

And then a lady bug landed on Cam at the beach today...this is the third time a lady bug has landed on one of the twins this summer.  I'm not surprised...my mom absolutely loved the beach.  One story I told the twins today was a memory from a long time ago when we went to Wildwood for a vacation.  We didn't get there until after dark and there is a rule (or maybe law?!?!) stating that you are not allowed on the beach after dark.  My mother, who usually followed every rule to the T, said, "Let's go down and see the ocean!"  So, off we went and it was exciting!  I have many, many wonderful memories of my mother at the beach and am very glad she visited us today.

Quick trip to the boardwalk, a bowl of ice cream, and we headed home....wonderful, wonderful day!
