Reporting in for a few minutes while everyone (including Michael and the cats!) are taking a nap! Things have been BUSY BUSY BUSY around our "new house" as we call it. Our "broken house" has been completely gutted and now we're starting to think about flooring, paint colors, kitchen design. So many decisions to be made in a short amount of time!!
I got a Clavinova in our temporary house in order to keep teaching piano lessons. It feels so good to do something normal during this time of transition!
Trip #1 to Raymour and Flanigan was quite an adventure...
"We like this one!"
Nice story about a plant of mine.....The sun room was part of the house that was on fire and my plants were all in there. They survived the fire but didn't fair too well during the 2 weeks they sat outside in the attempt to get the smoke out. As you can see, some are not looking too hot. However, the plant in the middle is an Amaryllis that my Aunt Bonnie had given my mom during her time at the Good Shepherd Rehab Center. Aunt Bonnie thought this would be something my mom could measure every day because the plant grows so quickly. It was fun to measure it each day with Mom. I then brought it to my house after she passed away and have enjoyed it every since. It wasn't doing too well the month or so leading up to the fire and I kept thinking about getting rid of it -- but like everything with my mom, I want to hold onto things as long as I can. So I asked for all of my plants to be brought to our temporary house to see if any of them could be saved. A few weeks ago, I noticed that the Amaryllis was beginning to grow again! I believe this is a sign from Mom to stay strong and keep going and that everything will be okay again.....Thanks, Mom!
We are getting more and more used to our temporary house....but are SO ready to get back to Susan Road!!!

We've also had lots of fun out and about!

It's starting to happen....Cameron is following in his father's footsteps for a love of sports. (They are looking up at a basketball game on a television!)
Allie had a super fun night out with her best friend at Sweet and Sassy! They took a ride in a pink limo....
....got their nails done.....
....had make-up put on...HA!...
.....got an up-do....
Elsa and Cinderella!!
....and had a dance party. Super fun night!
I enjoyed my time with Allie Baby...
Daddy and Cameron enjoyed a night of "Rocchi Dude's Club"!
We checked out Sky Zone in Bethlehem! Way fun but I think Free Fall is better for little ones!
Have been enjoying a few breakfasts at the Coop!
In true Rocchi fashion, we drove about 25 minutes to play at a favorite park of ours when we lived in Allentown. It has a cool race track that is perfect for our gator. We didn't even get a chance to get the gator going before we got kicked out at 6:00 (even though the sign said it was open until 7:00). So -- Plan B - ride our gator around the Catty High School parking lot!
We did get a chance to play in the huge sand pits first!
The things I allow my children to do to me...that sand was cold!!!
Off to the Catty High School!
Both children have become really good at picking up garbage wherever we are....They are both now starting to ask, "Why do people throw garbage on the ground???" It is ridiculous, isn't it?
Mike and I had a really fun night last night. Our friend has a fantastic band, The Pete Johann Band, and told us that they all wanted to do something to help us recover from the fire. Their idea was to have a Books for Beer night. Each person who brought in a book to replenish the twins' library got a free beer. As you can see, it was a huge success!! Thank you!
We are also getting geared up for Easter. We made it to church today (with the time change and everything!!)
No, that is not a palm he is waving....that's next week!
