Onward! If you read the last post, we left off at the end of the Bunny Train. Next up on my master plan of Easter 2K16 was our first trip to a Lehigh Valley Phantom's Ice Hockey game. My school was doing a Nazareth night and the Chorale was invited along to sing. Since Allie was still feeling a bit under the weather, Cameron decided to come with me early to get the sound check done while Allie rested. He was such a good boy!
| Here we are on the ice right after Chorale finished their sound check. |
| He was really into watching the guys skate!! |
| And the chocolate ice cream was pretty tasty too! |
| Mike, Bah-Bah, and Allie came a little later -- Allie was actually having an awesome time until the ridiculous blow horn went off after a goal. I agreed that it was a little much. |
Next on the docket was preparing for Bah-Bah's birthday celebration. He will be turning 65 on April 7th.
| Cam was in charge of the cake - we are an equal opportunity family - either you like LOTS of sprinkles or you don't! |
| Allie was the taste tester for the project! |
| Cam was in charge of the blue and yellow candles...Allie was in charge of pink and white candles... |
It was then time to vacate the premises so the guys could load up the eggs! The timing was of the utmost importance because they were putting glow in the dark bracelets into plastic eggs. Do too early and the eggs wouldn't have enough glow to be found! The pressure was on!
| We miss our yard at Susan Road but this yard has a small hill - WHEE!!! |
| Beautiful sunset again! |
Can't....stand....the......cuteness!!
| Allie performing her sunset dance... |
| Snuggling in for the show.... |
We then headed inside for a quick rendition of "Happy birthday to you"!
And then the guys went out to plant the eggs! I was all going swimmingly!
We further distracted the twinjas during this phase of the operation by giving them their Easter presents from Bah-Bah....
It was then time for our glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. The twins were very confused when we told them it was time for an egg hunt - they both said, "But it's dark outside!!" Yes, children - that's the fun of it! Let's go!
If you're wondering, "What about Easter morning?" Never fear -- that blog is next!
