P is for Poppy

A few months ago the twins had a very deep conversation about how many "p's" are in the name "Poppy".  The funniest sentence was, "Poppy has a lot of Pee-Pee's!!"  Ha!

Anyway, we celebrated Poppy and all of his Ps' 65th birthday over the weekend.  The twins loved getting ready for this party and were great helpers!

Since we are now just about a month out from moving back into our house, I've started going through the boxes and boxes of toys that were donated to us.  It was such a blur back in February that we never had a chance to see everything we were given.  I found this box of Lincoln Logs and Cameron has LOVED building houses with Daddy.

I also found this great picnic set.  To whomever gave this to us:  THANK YOU!

All done!

The water was freezing!! I told them to show me "freezing water" faces.  I think they were spot on!

It was time to give Poppy his presents.  I love Allie's choice of green and purple!
Cameron was very proud of his present for Poppy.

Pickle mustache

Here is Cameron yelling at Allie for her lack of correct technique in holding a pickle sword.  "No!  Like this, Allie!"

"I don't care about holding it like a sword - I just want to eat it!"

Happy Birthday, Poppy!!!

We love Gammy and Poppy!

And then there was one last present to give.....

"This is heavy!!"

True story:  Allie said, "I'm pushing and Cameron is pulling!"  So smart for an almost 4 year old!

Morning after hangover....

And just a quick update on the house....my flower bed has been driving me nuts lately.  It was such a mess.  Please note the rut left behind from the fire trucks.  They didn't damage any of the flowers though!

 Before...

After!  Glad to see my flowers from my mom, Rudy and Ester, and Myra are all doing well!
